Parkland Teachers' Local 10 celebrates Substitute Teachers' Appreciation Week

(10-Oct-2005) This year, Substitute Teachers' Appreciation Week takes place October 10-15, and is highlighted by a Wine and Cheese Appreciation Reception to follow the annual meeting of Substitute Teachers at our Local Office on Wednesday, October 12, 2005. Substitute teachers play a necessary and valuable role in the education of our Local's students. The role of the substitute teacher carries with it many of the daily responsibilities of instruction, marking, discipline and supervision. Parkland Teachers' Local 10 encourages each and everyone of its members to continue to recognize the incredible work our substitute teachers perform each and every day they are in our schools and especially during Substitute Teacher Appreciation Week: October 10-15.
